In the West a book about the mysteries of space successes of the USSR: the screams of the dying astronaut and Khrushchev dancing on the table
In the book it is reported that the last words of Komarov in Soyuz, as well as his talks with the Earth “overheard” some analyst of U.S. National security. According to the authors of the book, knew about the unreliability of the ship and the astronauts, signed to fly – the father of two children Komarov and Gagarin (Yuri was assigned as backup). When you return to the ground did not deploy parachute descent, and the engines when hitting the ground exploded. The tragedy occurred near Orenburg.
American intelligence intercepted the last words of Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov, when on 24 April 1967 he raced to the surface and certain death on accident victim “the Union-1”. These were the shouts and curses against “the people who put him in carelessly made spacecraft,” say the authors of a new book that will be released in the UK in April – just in time for the 50-year anniversary of the first manned flight into space. Company World View Enterprises located in the U.S. state of Arizona, announced the successful completion of the first small-scale test flight of a balloon, equipped with a special capsule that is being developed for space tourists could “float” on a 32-km altitude above the Earth’s surface.
Last Tuesday, 24 June 2014, the company World View Enterprises in Tucson, said reduced-scale copy of the balloon was launched last week from Roswell (new Mexico). According to the President of the company Jane Poynter, developed the balloon broke the world record, as in the stratosphere was raised payload, the mass of which is 1/10 by weight of the intended load full-scale model of the balloon.
Jane Poynter could not hide his joy at the results of the test flight, preparation and conduct of which until yesterday was kept a closely guarded secret.
For the test flight balloon was used, similar to that which the Austrian Felix Baumgartner was used to set a world record, which consisted of lifting to a height of 32 km above the Earth’s surface. Continue reading
The international team of young scientists, selected by competition to participate in this project, included three men and three women.
The crew commander was the American Carmel Johnson, dealing with the problems of soil science and ecology in Montana. Along with it, experiment, physicist, engineer, biologist, physician and architect, who dreams to design a permanent residential complex on Mars.
Experts from NASA and the University of Hawaii expect that the experiment will help to prepare the first manned flight to Mars, which the space Agency, the U.S. hopes to accomplish in 2030-ies. E
experts plan to examine the medical and psychological issues that may face the crew of the ship departing on a long journey into deep space. To this end, the participants of the experiment in Hawaii will have to implement a fairly complex program of scientific researches, being under constant surveillance. Scientists will monitor the subjects using cameras installed inside the complex, and various sensors mounted on their body. Continue reading
